WHAT WE COLLECT

When you use Sankofa Words, we collect your first name and your contact details: your mobile number if you come to us via WhatsApp, or your email address if you use the website. On mobile, sharing your email is optional.

We do not collect or store the name of your loved one. We do not store the content of your tribute. We do not hold any payment information. Payment is processed entirely by Paystack, and those details never pass through our systems.

WHY WE HOLD IT

We keep your contact details for one reason: to reach you if something goes wrong with your order, or if you started a tribute and something got in the way before you could finish.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties. We do not use it to market products or services to you. It exists solely to help us help you.

YOUR RIGHTS UNDER POPIA

Sankofa Words operates in accordance with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). You have the right to know what information we hold about you, to correct it, and to request that we delete it. Write to us at hello@sankofawords.com and we will respond within five working days.
